1) בשטחיי יהודה ושומרון שמעבר לקו הירוק (גבולות 4 ביוני 67) תקום מדינה פלשתינית.

2) כל המתנחלים הישראלים אשר ירצו להישאר בישוביהם יוכלו לעשות כן.

3) כל הפליטים הפלשתינים אשר ירצו בכך, ישובו למדינת ישראל או למדינה הפלשתינית.
הפליטים לא יחזרו לבתיהם הישנים אלא ישוכנו בישובים ובבתים חדשים.

4) מספר הפליטים הפלשתינים אשר ישובו למדינת ישראל, לא יעלה על מספר המתנחלים הישראלים אשר יישארו במדינה הפלשתינית.
לפיכך, במידה ויבחרו כל המתנחלים לחזור למדינת ישראל, ישובו כל הפליטים למדינה הפלשתינית.

5) יהודים שיישארו במדינה הפלשתינית, יבחרו אם להישאר אזרחיי ישראל או לקבל על עצמם אזרחות פלשתינית מלאה.

6) יהודים שיבחרו להישאר במדינה הפלשתינית תחת אזרחות ישראלית, יהיו במעמד תושביי קבע במדינה הפלשתינית: הם יצביעו לכנסת ישראל, אך ישלמו מיסים למדינה הפלשתינית, יקבלו שירותים ממנה, יתדיינו בבתי הדין שלה, ויהיו כפופים לחוקיי המדינה הפלשתינית כתושבי קבע.

7) המדינה הפלשתינית תהיה מפורזת (למעט נק”ל), ושעריי הגבולות בינה ובין מדינת ישראל יהיו פתוחים למעבר חופשי של אזרחיי שתי המדינות.
העברת סחורות תתבצע על פי הסכמיי מיסוי ומכס.

8) מזרח ירושלים, כשאר הישובים מעבר לקו הירוק, תהווה חלק מהמדינה הפלשתינית, ועל תושביהּ היהודים והפלשתינים יחולו הכללים שפורטו לעיל.

הספר, כאמור, משובץ תמונות נהדרות למכביר (כמעט בכל עמוד ועמוד), ופרקיו הקצרים (3-4 עמ’) אשר עומדים בפני עצמם, הופכים אותו לספר סלון אידיאלי, בו ניתן לעלעל בהנאה. אולם הספר יכול בהחלט להוות בן-לוויה ומדריך שימושי למטייל, האמיתי או הוירטואלי, באשר הוא מלא בהמלצות, טיפים, אנקדוטות, ומידע על הארכיפלג הרחוק ומשוגותיהם של תושביו: מן המקום העצום שתופס בתרבותם חדר השירותים, ועד שחיטת פרות קדושות כגון המיתוס על וותרנותם המופלגת. על הדרך ניתן גם ללמוד מן הספר מספר מושגים בסיסיים, חשובים יותר או פחות (כגון “תרגיל המעלית”), וכן מילים שימושיות ביפנית: איטאדאקימס (בתיאבון!).

(*) גילוי נאות: קיבלתי את הספר מדה-מרקר קפה לצורך כתיבת ביקורת, אך לא היה בכך כדי להטות את חוות דעתי – הספר בהחלט מהנה, מושקע, ומומלץ!

PDA

1) In the PDA menu select: Start → Settings, and click the “Connections” tab.

2) Select the Bluetooth icon, and then click the “Bluetooth Manager” link.

3) Select Menu → Paired Devices.

4) Now remove all the listed paired devices by selecting them and clicking remove.

5) You can now soft-reset the PDA, just to clear up your mind.

PC

6) On the PC, open ActiveSync (using its icon in the system tray) and delete all Mobile Devices.

7) Now plug the Bluetooth out of the USB and restart your PC.

8) After the PC is restarted, plug in the Bluetooth device and wait for the driver to kick in. This is a key issue – many times the ActiveSync problem is caused by Bluetooth driver that wasn’t properly installed. If the driver gives you trouble you may try to stick it in another USB port. You may also try to uninstall the driver, plug the bluetooth out, restart the PC, plug in the bluetooth and reinstall its driver. Or maybe use a different Bluetooth device altogether (sometimes they are simply damaged).

9) So after the Bluetooth was properly installed and activated, go to the Control Panel and open the “Bluetooth Devices”.

10) On the “Options” tab make sure “Turn discovery on” and “Allow Bluetooth devices to connect to this computer” are checked.

11) On the “COM Ports” tab, you need to have an Incoming port listed. If not, add one (you may add incoming port even you already have one). Remember the Incoming port number.

12) Right-click the ActiveSync tray icon and select “Connection Settings…”.

13) Select the Incoming port you added in section (11), check all the available options in the  Connection Settings dialog, and press OK.

PDA

14) On the PDA, open the Bluetooth Settings (Start menu → Settings, Connections tab → Bluetooth). Make sure Bluetooth is turned on.

15) Select the “Bluetooth Manager” link, and go to Paired Devices (see sections 2, 3 above).

16) Click on the Add menu, then click the binoculars icon to find your PC.

17) Now you should see your PC listed – select it.

(*) If the PC wasn’t listed, try to Refresh. If it’s still not there, it’s probably either you left Discovery off (see section 10) or bad Bluetooth driver installation (see section 8). Go back to the needed section accordingly.

18) After selecting your PC, choose a Passkey (e.g. “abcd”), and click ok.

PC

19) On your PC you’ll see yellow notification baloon asking you for the passkey, click it and insert the passkey and click Next. 

20) On the following page of the wizard make sure that “Turn discovery off” is not checked, and click Finish.

PDA

21) Back on the PDA click ok on the top-right of the Bluetooth Manager, and then the New menu on the bottom-left to add an ActiveSync connection.

22) Scroll down and select the “ActiveSync via Bluetooth” item.

23) On the two following windows of the wizard select next.

24) On the next window select your PC.

25) And on the final window click the Finish button.

By this time you should be hearing the comforting sound of ActiveSync connecting: pring.

1) Create a new device application.
2) Drop two text-boxes, one button, and one combo-box on the form (see GUI design below).
3) Now let’s name some names: txtTraslateFrom, txtTranslatedText, btnTranslateTo, and cmbTargetLanguage (accordingly).
4) Set the Multiline property of the text-boxes to True and clear their Text.
5) Set the button’s Text to: “Translate To:”.
6) Add three items (target languages) to the combo-box: “Japanese”, “English” and “Hebrew”.
7) Now the fun part: add a web reference to:
http://api.microsofttranslator.com/V1/SOAP.svc

8) Add the following member to the form’s class:

(*) Two things to note here:

1) The first parameter passed to the Translate method is my application’s unique ID. To create your own AppID, go to the Bing Developer Center at:  http://www.bing.com/developers/createapp.aspx.
2) In order to see different languages on your PDA, you’ll need to have the appropriate fonts installed.

כוחות מיוחדים של משטרה פרצו אמש למרפאה תל-אביבית בה מתנהל בשנים האחרונות שוק שחור של סחר בביציות. במרפאה פעלו באופן בלתי-חוקי רופאים רומנים אשר תמורת מספר מאות שקלים שאבו ביציות מצעירות יהודיות משכבות מצוקה והפרו בעזרתן נשים רומניות. המרפאה נוהלה בידי שני רומנים אשר שילשלו לכיסם מעיסקאות מפוקפקות אלה עשרות מיליוני דולרים.  גוועלד!

First of all I noticed that the installer was always rolling back at the same stage of installation. In my case it was while trying to install Windows Live Toolbar (you can see when it goes wrong by looking at the installer’s status message on the bottom of the installer). Later I found that indeed the toolbar was causing the problem: I had an old Windows Live Toolbar in Japanese which could not be uninstalled, and while trying to install the new Windows Live (which was in English) it caused the failure. Anyway, here’s how to solve the problem:

(*) Warning: the following walkthrough is unorthodox; use it only if you already tried installing Windows Live the standard way (meaning: uninstalling it first, restarting the PC, etc). Also: the following steps require some PC knowledge, as well as a fair amount of patients.

Installation Steps
1) Uninstall all existing Windows Live products. If some products can’t be uninstalled, we will remove them later manually.
2) In Internet Explorer, open the Internet Options window. 

3) Under Programs tab, select “Manage add-ons”.

4) Disable all Widows Live add-ons.

5) Close Internet Explorer.
6) Go to the directory in which Live products were installed (typically: Program Files directory), and delete all the “Windows Live” folders which exist there (e.g.: “C:\Program Files\Windows Live”, “C:\Program Files\Windows Live Toolbar”, etc).  If some of them can’t be removed, restart the PC and try deleting them once more. If delete fails again, restart in “safe mode” and delete the directories, and then restart normally (not in safe mode).
7) Open the Registry Editor (press: WIN+R and then type: “regedit” and Enter). 
8) Search and delete all “Windows Live” entries, or at least all the entries of the product that gave you trouble (“Windows Live Toolbar” in my case). This is a tedious task – there are zillions of them. Moreover, some may not be deletable (but you can excuse them). 

9) Now restart the PC and install Windows Live  – this time it should work!
